Biography
I’ve loved books for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a family where money was often tight, one of my favorite activities was browsing used bookstores and going to public libraries in search of hidden treasures. Years later, not much has changed.
Reading as an adult feels like a luxury. Between work and responsibilities, finding time to sit down with a book can be difficult. Maybe that’s why I appreciate it even more now and try to savor every minute of it.
I also have a weakness for beautiful book covers. “Don’t judge a book by its cover” is advice I’ve never been particularly good at following. A good book cover design, an intriguing title, or even a single memorable quote is often enough to convince me to pick up a book. It may sound simplistic, but it’s led me to discover stories and authors I might otherwise have missed.
While I do most of my reading on a Kindle these days, mostly because I love reading in bed in the dark, one of my favorite activities is still wandering through bookstores and seeing what catches my eye. After all, the best reading adventures often begin with a little curiosity and an unexpected discovery!
