This is my third book by Uketsu, so at this point I kind of know the drill. What starts as a series of strange and unrelated events slowly comes together through a chain of logical deductions, and I always enjoy seeing how the pieces connect.

Like Uketsu’s other books, Strange Buildings is a quick and fun read. The pacing keeps things moving, and I really like the way the mystery is structured. There’s something satisfying about following the clues and trying to figure things out before the next reveal!
One thing I’ve noticed is that with Uketsu, I’m willing to overlook twists that might feel a bit far-fetched. Normally that would bother me more, but the way he builds up the mystery is so creepy and unsettling that I don’t really mind. By that point, I’m invested in the puzzle and eager to see how all the pieces fit together. The journey itself is the highlight for me.
