Black Cherry Blues

Black Cherry Blues follows former Louisiana homicide detective Dave Robicheaux as he tries to build a quieter life running a fishing business and caring for his adopted daughter, Alafair. Still haunted by the murder of his wife and struggling to stay sober, Robicheaux is pulled back into violence when an old friend arrives carrying information about the disappearance of two Native American activists in Montana. What begins as a reluctant attempt to help soon draws him into a dangerous network of corruption involving oil interests, organized crime, and hired killers.

As Robicheaux investigates, the case becomes deeply personal, forcing him to confront old traumas, buried anger, and enemies connected to his past. Moving between the Louisiana bayous and the mountains of Montana, the story follows Robicheaux through a world of betrayal, revenge, and escalating violence as threats close in around both him and his daughter.
