Knock and Wait a While

Knock and Wait a While follows an American intelligence officer who arrives in Frankfurt on what is supposed to be a routine assignment during the Cold War. Instead, he becomes drawn into a dangerous espionage operation involving secret agents, divided loyalties, and violent political intrigue spreading across postwar Europe. As the situation escalates, professional duty collides with personal involvement, particularly through his relationship with a young American woman caught in the uncertainty and fear surrounding the covert struggle.

Forced to make rapid decisions with little reliable information, he finds himself trapped between competing intelligence forces, hidden agendas, and the constant threat of betrayal. Moving through a tense landscape of surveillance, clandestine meetings, and mounting violence, the story follows his attempt to survive an operation that grows increasingly unpredictable and deadly.
