Haralambi Markov

Haralambi Markov is a Bulgarian speculative fiction writer, editor, reviewer, and critic whose work spans fantasy, horror, and science fiction. Based in Varna, Bulgaria, he has a background in marketing and has been an active presence in the speculative fiction community as both a creator and commentator. A graduate of the prestigious Clarion Writers' Workshop in 2014, Markov draws inspiration from folklore, fairy tales, mythology, and queer storytelling, crafting fiction that blends lyrical prose with unsettling and imaginative themes.

Markov's short fiction has appeared in numerous acclaimed publications and anthologies, including Uncanny Magazine, Tor.com (now Reactor), The Apex Book of World SF 4, Genius Loci, and Wilde Stories. He also co-edited the Tales to Terrify podcast and its first anthology, helping to showcase contemporary horror fiction. His debut collection, The Language of Knives: Stories, brings together many of his acclaimed works and has been praised for its blend of horror, folklore, and emotional depth.
