Rebecca Thorne is an American fantasy and science fiction novelist best known for her cozy fantasy novels featuring rich world-building, LGBTQ+ protagonists, and heartfelt relationships. Originally from Arizona, she earned a Master of Fine Arts in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing from Emerson College after graduate coursework in rhetoric and digital media. Before becoming a full-time author, she worked in traditional publishing and as a flight attendant, experiences that informed both her storytelling and her practical approach to the publishing industry. She is also an educator who teaches aspiring writers about craft, publishing, and building sustainable writing careers.

Thorne first published traditionally before transitioning to hybrid publishing, achieving widespread success with the Tomes & Tea series. Beginning with Can't Spell Treason Without Tea, the series became an international bestseller and helped popularize the cozy fantasy genre with its blend of adventure, romance, humor, and found-family themes. She has since expanded the series with A Pirate's Life for Tea, Tea You at the Altar, and Alchemy and a Cup of Tea, while also writing the Titan's Wrath trilogy and cozy science fiction with Moss'd in Space.
