Colleen Coble

Colleen Coble is an American novelist best known for her bestselling Christian romantic suspense and historical fiction. Born in Wabash, Indiana, she was raised on a farm in the American Midwest, an upbringing that instilled a lifelong appreciation for rural communities, faith, and the outdoors. After graduating from high school, she worked as a receptionist while raising a family. Although she had always dreamed of becoming a writer, it was the tragic death of her brother in 1990 that inspired her to finally pursue that ambition. A visit to Wyoming, where he had lived, became the inspiration for her first novels, launching a writing career that would eventually make her one of the most successful authors in Christian fiction.

Coble made her publishing debut with historical romances before transitioning into romantic suspense, where she found her largest audience. She has created numerous bestselling series, including Rock Harbor, Mercy Falls, Hope Beach, Sunset Cove, Lavender Tides, Pelican Harbor, Annie Pederson, and Sanctuary, combining mystery, faith, romance, and richly atmospheric settings. Her novels have sold more than six million copies worldwide and have earned numerous honors, including the Romance Writers of America RITA Award, the Holt Medallion, the Daphne du Maurier Award, and the ACFW Book of the Year Award. She has also co-authored several suspense novels with Rick Acker.
