Susan Goldmark

Susan Goldmark is an American development economist, researcher, and author whose career has spanned international development, public policy, and global economic consulting. She has worked in more than seventy-five countries, serving in leadership roles with the World Bank, nonprofit organizations, and private consulting firms. Her expertise has focused on economic development, poverty reduction, governance, and institutional reform, with significant experience in South Asia and Latin America.

In addition to her work in international development, Goldmark has collaborated extensively with her husband, Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer Kai Bird, serving as his chief researcher on major historical works.
