Beth Revis is an American author best known for her imaginative science fiction and fantasy novels for young adult and adult readers. Raised in rural North Carolina, she earned degrees in education before working as a teacher. Her lifelong love of speculative fiction and storytelling eventually led her to pursue writing full time, where she quickly gained recognition for crafting richly imagined worlds, compelling characters, and emotionally driven adventures.

Revis rose to international prominence with the Across the Universe trilogy, a science fiction series set aboard a generation ship that earned critical acclaim for its blend of mystery, romance, and futuristic world-building. She has since expanded her bibliography with novels including A World Without You, Give the Dark My Love, Blood Empire, Full Speed to a Crash Landing, How to Steal a Galaxy, and Last Chance to Save the World. She has also collaborated with fellow fantasy author Sara Raasch on the Witch and Hunter duology, further demonstrating her versatility across science fiction and fantasy.

Known for combining inventive speculative concepts with emotionally resonant storytelling, Revis has become one of the leading contemporary voices in young adult and adult speculative fiction. Her novels often explore themes of identity, sacrifice, love, and survival while balancing fast-paced plots with thoughtful character development.
