Amy Tintera

Amy Tintera is an American novelist best known for writing young adult fiction and, more recently, adult thrillers. Raised in Austin, Texas, she studied journalism at Texas A&M University and earned a master’s degree in media arts and screenwriting from Emerson College. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked in Hollywood as a talent agency assistant.

Tintera began her publishing career with YA dystopian novels, including the Reboot duology (Reboot and Rebel) and later the Ruined trilogy. She also wrote the Monsters duology and standalone YA novel The Q. Her books are known for fast-paced plots, strong female leads, and speculative or fantasy-driven settings.

In 2024, she published her first adult novel, Listen for the Lie, a psychological mystery that became a bestseller and earned major award nominations, expanding her audience beyond young adult fiction.

Her work is often recognized for blending suspense, emotional stakes, and accessible storytelling, and she is represented by major publishers in both the YA and adult fiction markets.
