Megan Bontrager

Megan Bontrager is an American author of horror and speculative fiction whose work blends cosmic horror, dark fantasy, and science fiction with emotionally driven storytelling. Her fiction explores themes of identity, guilt, survival, and the unknown, combining imaginative worldbuilding with psychological tension and richly atmospheric settings. Through her distinctive voice and literary approach to horror, Bontrager has emerged as a promising new talent in contemporary speculative fiction.

Bontrager earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in English from the University of Central Florida and a master's degree in writing from Johns Hopkins University. She is currently based in Ireland, where she is pursuing a PhD at Maynooth University. Before publishing her novels, she built a reputation through short fiction appearing in literary magazines and anthologies, developing a style characterized by immersive settings, complex characters, and a fascination with folklore, mythology, and cosmic terror.
